Description
The NBU received a few patients during activation that had been exposed to Ebola but had not yet developed symptoms. These patients were quarantined and cared for off-site as they did not warrant the intensive care provided in the unit. None of the patients developed symptoms during their quarantine period, and the need for a quarantine location led to the development of the National Quarantine Unit in the Davis Global Center.
